Designed for V6 engines only. They will work in 4cyl models but ride a litle firmer as a result of the reduced front end weight - use at your own discretion. That said, the feedback we've received from 4cyl customers has been postive.
We're big fans of these shocks, they're a huge upgrade over your original tired shocks or any of the economy lines like Monroe or Gabriel and Bilstein is the only upgraded shock option left in the USA at this point with Koni and Tokico having discontinued their Gen1 shocks.
Note - We do not recommend these shocks on Monteros with more than a 1.5" lift.
