Genuine Nissan Parts
The 5.6L VK56VD V8 Engine has a defect where the camshaft lobe can wear through the original high pressure fuel pump lifter valve (AKA lifter bucket). This not only affects the fuel pressure but will eventually ruin the engine as shavings of metal spread throughout the system.
Checking this part regularly and replacing it if there is any wear on the bottom of the bucket (as well as making sure the oil supply hole inside the High Pressure Fuel Pump housing is clear) is a good precaution.
This kit has everything you need:
1x Lifter Valve Bucket (13231-1MC5E)
1x O-ring (16618-1LA0D)
1x Fuel line crush washer (46237-1LA0A)
Torque specs:
HPFP Studs: 62 in-lbs
HPFP Nuts: 16 ft-lbs
Bolts for the fuel line bracket: 80 in-lbs
Fuel Tube: 25 ft-lbs
