The transmission pan was originally sealed at the factory with RTV sealant, but the rubber gasket in this kit makes pan installation and subsequent removal easier.

Be very careful when tightening the bolts during this job because the torque specs are very light.

Gen 3 Montero:

Filter = 52 +/- 9 in-lb
Pan = 97 +/- 9 in-lb
