Note for Gen2/2.5 Owners: This 86-2348-D boot is suited for all NTN 95mm CV axles which originally came on the 1992-2000 Monteros listed in the fitment chart above. We recommend double checking your OEM axles, look for "NTN 95" engraved on the inner joint or the part number on the original inner CV boot ending in "95". See example photos above.
With Genuine Mitsubishi CV boot kits either being discontinued or prohibitively expensive, and not satisfied with what was available in the aftermarket, we're now proud to offer Luso Overland brand CV boot kits!
What makes these boots different is that they are much more durable because they actually made of the correct material. Just like the original outer CV boots that came brand new on your Montero, these are made of Thermoplastic Polyester Elastomer (TPEE) which is a tougher plastic vs the softer rubber material that is used for the inner CV boot location. The reason TPEE was used on the outer joint and rubber on the inner joint is that TPEE is much more durable against abrasion, heat, UV, and chemicals - things the outer boot is more likely to encounter. The tradeoff is that TPEE is stiffer than Rubber, so on the inner joint which does most of the flexing and drooping, rubber is better suited. That's why we confidently back our outer TPEE boots with a 5-Year Warranty.
