Seems like the foam on every Gen3's air intake scoop has disentigrated away by now. This replacement foam has an adhesive backing and the roll has a few inches more than needed so you don't have to worry about lining it up perfectly and can just trim off the excess.
Simply scrape off any of the remaining original foam, remove any leftover adhesive with alcohol so the new foam has a clean and smooth surface to adhere to, stick on the new foam, and trim any excess.
